Focused on patients, residents, staff and community, Hopedale Medical Complex (HMC) Employees strive each day to advance the mission and vision that is rooted in the foundation of the medical complex.  Each month, HMC Employee Empowerment hosts an awards ceremony for those employees, who are recognized by their peers, for the outstanding work that they are doing in one of the numerous departments that are a part of the HMC campus.

Our April Employee of the Month was awarded to Laboratory Team Member, Abigail Hamilton, who has been part of our staff since 2020.  Nominated by Laboratory Manager, Jeff Greer, he shared “Abigail has had a tremendous impact on our department.  She has taken on the responsibility of maintaining our PCR Covid testing equipment and has done a fantastic job keeping up with validations of new and additional testing.”  Congratulations to Abigail on a job well done.

Two staff members, Robin Selman and Kathryn Hasty, received the April COO (Character of an Outstanding Organization) Award from Emily Whitson, COO. Robin, a Patient Access Team member, works directly with the public at our information desk.  Emily Whitson, COO commented, “Robin provides our patients and their families a sense of ease and compassion whenever they walk through our doors.  She is the front-line of HMC, and she manages every situation with a positive attitude and caring hand.” 

Our second awardee, Kathryn Hasty is an integral member of our Medical Records Department and was nominated by Lynn VanDyke, Medical Records Department Manager.  Kathryn is known for her strong work ethic and her ability to assist wherever needed within the department.  HMC COO, Emily Whitson shared, “Kathryn gets the job done.  I am always confident that she will do everything within her ability to get a physician, department, or a patient the information they need in a timely manner.”
