Carolyn A. Frye, 87, of Hopedale, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born April 8, 1934 in LaSalle to Stanley and Catherine Jones Skotniki. She married Bobby Ray Frye on June 18, 1953 in Peoria, and he passed away March 3, 1990.

Surviving are her children, Donna (Dannie) McCarter of Sevierville , TN, Karen Frye of Bloomington, Barbara Bullard of Conway, SC, Brenda Frye of Myrtle Beach, SC, Dan (Jackie) Frye of Hopedale, Bobby Frye Jr. of Hopedale, Stan (Sadie) Frye of Clarksville, TN, and Cathy Frye of Paducah, KY; 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and her dog, Zippy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Damien; one great grandson, AJ; one brother, George; and her Dachshund, Jackson.

Carolyn was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and a good farmers market.

Her funeral will be at 11:00 am Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Living Hope Community Church in Hopedale. Pastor Roger Springer will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Orndorff Cemetery in Hopedale. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopedale Rescue Squad.
