Summer Gives Way to Fall

Fall is personally my favorite season, from the colorful trees and the crunch of fallen leaves, to the chilly nights and childhood memories of Halloween. It is a beautiful season full of all kinds of fun celebrations and traditions. Even if Fall isn’t your favorite season, it is still an enjoyable season packed full of all kinds of fun.

To start off with, the beauty of this season is unmatchable. The brightly colored leaves decorating the trees, and ground, make for such a beautiful season. The weather is also perfect for enjoying all kinds of outdoor activities as it isn’t too hot, but also not too cold. Going camping and sitting around a fire during the chilly nights are some of the most prominent memories I have of Fall as a kid.

When you think of Fall, you probably think of Halloween, something almost every kid looks forward to. A night full of candy and dressing up as whatever you want to. Halloween also means spending time with family and friends, watching scary movies, going trick or treating, and snacking on delicious treats. Others may enjoy going all out in decorating for the holiday, putting all kinds of spooky decor out on their lawn. No matter your age, Halloween is a fun holiday for all.

Another holiday that many celebrate in Fall is Thanksgiving. A day where all your family gathers together and gives gratitude for all that they have. For my family this means going to my grandmother’s house and having a giant homemade meal with family from all over. Just like Halloween, it is a holiday fun for all and looked forward to by most.

There are also many traditions that happen throughout the fall. Most have gone to places like Raider’s Farms or Funks Grove to pick out pumpkins, go on hayrides, drink apple cider, and eat caramel apples. After a day of fun doing these activities you can go home and carve your pumpkins, competing to see who makes the best one.

Fall is a season for spending time with family and friends, enjoying one another's presence, and celebrating holidays together. It is a time full of fun, beauty, and memorable experiences for both kids and adults.
