Vickie Glenn

Vickie Glenn has been the village clerk for thirty years. Vickie is a Danvers Village native, having lived there her whole life. She graduated from Olympia High School. Vickie has had three children, of which all grew up in Danvers. Vickie is a family first person, so her children and grandchildren are very important to her. Vickie has been married to her husband, Dan, for forty years. All three of Vickie’s children are out of college now and have started their working careers.

Vickie has been known by many to take her family minded personality into her role as the Danvers Village Clerk. Having lived in Danvers for her whole life, Vickie definitely has a special connection to the town and it’s community members. For Vickie to feel that the people in Danvers are almost like her family makes sense considering how long she has been around the town and the people in it. Not only does Vicky treat the people in Danvers like family, she also loves the town. When I asked her what one thing she would want everyone to know about the Village of Danvers she said, “It’s a great place to live where people care about each other and watch out for one another. I feel safe living here even with everything going on in the world.” I think this is exactly the kind of positivity Danvers community members want to hear out of their village clerk.

With her great positivity and family minded outlook, there is good reason as to why Vickie has been the Danvers Village Clerk for thirty years. With a position like the village clerk, in a smaller community like Danvers, it makes sense for the position to be filled by someone with so much history in the town. Vickie Glenn’s service to Danvers as the village clerk has been very important and very appreciated by everyone in the town.
